Helping Children and Young People Improve Their Emotional Well Being
*** ONLINE therapy available***
How is Play Therapeutic?
Play Therapy provides an environment in which children can explore their troubles from a new perspective and open up more than usual about them. Through play, children often unconsciously (or consciously) play out the experiences that are troubling them and, as such, they externalize their feelings. A qualified therapist can help children to experience that huge sense of relief that comes with expressing stressful thoughts or worries. It is one of the best ways of empowering children, through therapeutic relationships and reflective listening, allowing them to experience a sense of control, trust and confidence by leading the play.

To aid therapy, we use a ‘toolkit’ which includes arts and craft materials, sand and symbols, clay, puppets, musical instruments, creative visualisations (with aspects of mindfulness), role-play and drama, therapeutic stories and more. Your child will be free to use the room and its contents in any way they wish to, within the confines of emotional and physical safety that we will help them to uphold.
Although sessions are confidential, as their parent or carer, you will be kept up to date on your child's therapeutic progress. In fact, we believe that the more involved you can be, the better!
