Play & Creative Arts Therapy

Trauma - Abuse - Looked After Children

Lack of concentration - Low academic achievements - Fidgety

Unengaged - Extremely quiet - Sad - Tearful

Friendship issues - Communication problems

Do you have children in your school that you describe as 'at risk', 'vulnerable' or 'looked after'?  These children are likely to be suffering from something in common: multiple relationship traumas and losses, otherwise referred to as 'developmental trauma'.

Play therapy can help to untangle past trauma and rebuild healthy attachments for these children.  It is a safe, non-judgmental process that makes use of a child's natural tendency to play as a way of encouraging communication, relationship-building, expression and problem-solving in an emotionally safe, therapeutic environment.

Parent & Child Programmes

I also offer bespoke group Parent & Child sessions (H2H) to help with conflict and break-downs in relationships.  These short courses (10 weeks) can be arranged for families of children attending your school.
